Scraplifting is something I do all the time. I'm a visually inspired person, so when I sit down to work I usually thumb through a book or magazine first, looking for something to catch my eye. Usually a layout or advertisement or something pops out at me rather quickly and I can go to work! Rarely, if ever, do I end up with a page that's exactly like the original I'm
lifting, which is exactly why I love scrapbooking. My personality, my style, my pictures by their very nature require that things be changed to suit me and my layouts. Just like you, I want a page that's all my own. Pages that tell
my story, are in my voice, and fit my personal taste. Just because something is lifted doesn't mean it's not solely yours. It just means that your page found its inspiraton from somewhere else. What you did to personalize it -
well that's all you!
That's the idea behind
Lifted and with this scraplifting gallery. I give you my pages. The ones I do when hanging with my friends at a crop or while working alone at home. The pages that capture my everyday life and the way I scrapbook. Have fun with them. LIFT them. And create pages that are all you own!
Come back often, I'll be updating the gallery with new pages as I finish them. If you'd like to submit a page to the Gallery, PLEASE email them to me at
submit@papertherapy.com I would love to see what you've come up with and post them here!
