i wear yellow - a month long benefit for Emily!
My friend, Emily, and her family suffered an incredible loss today, November 1st. Her beloved husband, and father of two beautiful children, lost his (second) battle with cancer. I simply cannot fathom her pain. I will continue praying for her, but I want to do more. For the entire month, all my profits from book sales will go to her family.

Please join me as I do what I can to give a little back.

Read the Foreword from Lifted

"I believe people come into our lives for a reason.  And so it is with me and Michelle.  I met her for the first time at a scrapbook stores in the late nineties.  I knew right then she was someone I would learn from.  I remember being completely intrigued and full of wonder.

I conversed with Michelle each time we met up at the store; watching and waiting for the "reason" we'd met to unfold.  Obvious were her uncanny persistence, realistic outlook on life and keen sense of humor, but I knew there was more.  As she became comfortable she shared her albums with me.  In one I witnessed a profound mother-daughter relationship that helped me to raise my own daughter.  In other albums about her family I've learned about sincere love, reverence and devotion.

Michelle is the only person I know who has made an album from metal. Honestly, it’s a work of art; a masterpiece.  Not only does it contain ingenious layouts but its pages are full of commitment, faith and love.  I dare say it’s a mini workout just to turn the pages let alone to lift the creative marvel off the shelf.

Her scrapbooking style is clever, innovative and fresh.  There have been times I’ve been so taken aback and motivated by her layouts and cards that I’ve wanted to immediately try the techniques she’s used.  I always walk away from moments with Michelle wanting to be a little better, walk a little taller and laugh a little longer.

I’m so excited we’re going to get a glimpse into the creative genius of Michelle Meisenbach, Angie Dunn and Dayna Behning.  These women are exceptional artists, teachers and scrapbookers and they freely share their talents with others.

Michelle and this book have come into your life for a reason, so learn all you can.  I’m still learning from her and have determined that she came into my live for not just one reason, but many.

Congratulations on a great book, friend.
